T Junction Sign
Where: Found on any road before reaching the point where two roads meet to form a "T". Indicates that the road you are traveling on will end ahead, and you must turn either left or right.
Purpose: To warn drivers that they are approaching a T-junction intersection. Reminds drivers that they cannot continue straight; they must prepare for a sharp turn to the left or right. Alerts drivers that cross-traffic may be present on the road they are about to join.
Action Required by Driver: Reduce speed well before reaching the junction. Look out for cross-traffic on the road you are joining. Be prepared to stop completely if necessary. Turn safely around the corner at a speed that keeps full control of the vehicle. Check for regulatory signs such as:
- Traffic lights (robots)
- Stop signs
- Yield (Give Way) signs
